CABARET BY KENNETH COBONPUE

08 Mar 2012

Kenneth Cobonpue’s latest collection, called Cabaret, caught my eye. It reminds me of some of the designs I’ve been seeing in the contract industry with its oversized back and sides, but Kenneth’s definitely put his special signature on it. I can see these working nicely at home or even poolside at a hotel. I especially love the stitched tables – such a great detail.

I would love to see an entire room of these in random shapes and sizes, mimicking how mushrooms behave in nature.

Metro by Luca Nichetto

Metro is a seating collection designed by Italian designer Luca Nichetto for Italian company Emmegi. I’m drawn to the two tones of the seat – usually I am not a big fan of two-tone seating but this is appealing. In Italian, a metro is a measuring stick, and the Metro sofa embodies this idea of measurement through the multiple modules – defined by color.
