Home Textiles Fabric Soucing Expo underway

New York - The inaugural Home Textiles Fabric Sourcing Expo kicked of here today as part of the TexWorld show at the Jacob Javits Center.

Taking place through July 15, the event features more than 60 manufacturers that focus on fabric and material used for home applications.

The Expo was organized by Messe Frankfurt - owner of TexWorld - with Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, with sponsorship from Lenzing.

Messe Frankfurt is the parent of the European Heimtextil brand.

1968 Vespa Scooter Turned Into Functional Work Station

The donor for my furniture project was a 1968 Vespa sprint that was beyond restoration, making it the perfect candidate. I feel that this was a more honorable fate than the scrap metal yard. I have tried to retain the traditional characteristics of the classic icon by converting the back half into a functional work station, complete with adjustable laptop stand. My aim was to deliver the feeling of riding a Vespa without the helmet hair. Anyone want to take it for a spin?”
