Upholstery major Natuzzi said it is projecting 2010 sales of approximately 600 million euros, a 17% jump over last year.
The company said it based the forecast, which is equivalent to about $816 million, on a slight improvement in economic conditions and the recent success of its three principal product lines - Natuzzi, Italsofa and Editions.
The company said it was particularly encouraged by the Editions line, which debuted last month at the Cologne Furniture Fair.
"The ambitious 2010 goals are taking into consideration the persistent challenging economic environment, but also the internal improvement that began recently," said Pasquale Natuzzi, chairman and CEO.
Natuzzi has yet to release fourth-quarter or 2009 sales and earnings. For the first nine months of last year, sales totaled 363.2 million euros, or about $496 million.
In 2008 sales totaled 660 million euros, or about $898 million at current exchange rates
