World Expo 2010 will draw worldwide attention to China. Chinese culture will welcoming the impacts from different countries and cultures which will blend in and enrich them. The spirit of integration will be showcased at Home Fashion & Design Exhibition 2010 (HDE).

The exhibition organizer has carefully created a new cultural theme of the show, Integration, which is separated into 3 branches, ‘integration of the people", ‘integration of the City’, and ‘integration of the space’.  A variety of elements are combined to reflect relations between people, space and city. Multi-cultural reflections of this exhibition makes the show the beauty of integration, colorful and elegant.

 

What’s on the show?

 

Brand new design elements will appear on the exhibition venue. More new exhibitors, latest design innovations and more designer self-created products. Together they will tell you the story of their creations

ZZ – Designer original brand products will be most vividly manifested in the aesthetics of original and practical ideas, and fine metal manufacturing process.

Insideco – Montigny, French high-end furniture brand’s sole exhibition hall in China, showing the purest of French furniture, from design to craft and pass on the essence of traditional French furniture.

Jolly - Designers from USA, German and Italy, fully demonstrated the crystal clear and bright luster characteristics of the high-end food grade acrylic materials, aiming to bring the exquisite handicraft into a new era.

Shangpin – Personalized floral lifestyle house. Adhering to the consistent pursuit of beauty, floriculture is used to enhance the quality feeling of space. Matching floral products with different styles to create a unique configuration is always Shangpin’s concept.

HAYTA - Bathroom specialist from Germany. Derived from the diligently pursuing of life quality in order to outline the most pleasant living space, this is a brand new bathing experience from a love-water life allowing your life dreams releasing freely.

The Debut of City Home Design Map

 

First Design Map in Shanghai

The debut of Design Map collected by HDE 2010 organizer will lead you a tour round the design landscapes in the city. Moreover, it’s a traffic information guide of furnishing brands in the exhibition site, a design guideline customized for designers.

 

China Design Shops Alliance (C.D.S.A)

In 2010, ABITARE China United Furniture Fair, China's largest organizations - Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo and HDE, founded China Design Shops Alliance (C.D.S.A) to build an industry ‘united, and complete’ platform.

 

Pre-view 2011 – HDE joins luxury lifestyle & prestigious Boat Show

 

Next spring, HDE will temporarily bid farewell to the design festival after 3 years of cooperation and join hands with China (Shanghai) International Boat Show (Boat) in Expo Shanghai permanent structure. Sunshine, dock, high-end fur nature, will converge into a brand new luxury and elegant lifestyle. As a warm-up for HDE and Boat’s combination, surprise from Boat will be brought into the 2010 HDE show together with extreme life ideology.  If you have products are unique enough, or you want to exhibit a unique way of life, please join us to perform a live opera ‘intimate contact with the yacht’.

1968 Vespa Scooter Turned Into Functional Work Station

The donor for my furniture project was a 1968 Vespa sprint that was beyond restoration, making it the perfect candidate. I feel that this was a more honorable fate than the scrap metal yard. I have tried to retain the traditional characteristics of the classic icon by converting the back half into a functional work station, complete with adjustable laptop stand. My aim was to deliver the feeling of riding a Vespa without the helmet hair. Anyone want to take it for a spin?”
